_**Junior Scientist - Membrane Science & Enzyme Immobilization**_
- We are seeking a full-time Junior Scientist with a strong background in membrane science, enzyme immobilization, and biomaterial interfaces to join an interdisciplinary product development team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about innovating in medical diagnostics through smart material design and biosensor integration._

- **Key Responsibilities**:_
- This is a laboratory-based role focused on the design, modification, and characterization of membranes for biosensing and immobilization strategies for diagnostic sensor platforms. Key duties include:_
- _Selecting and optimizing enzyme immobilization strategies (e.g., covalent bonding, adsorption, entrapment) to maximize stability and performance._
- _Collaborating with materials and electrochemistry teams to integrate membranes into device platforms._
- _Conducting and analysing experiments for characterizing membranes (e.g., porosity, hydrophilicity, thickness) and immobilized enzymes (e.g., activity, stability)._
- _Maintaining accurate and complete records of all procedures, data, and outcomes._
- _Contributing to sensor validation studies in lab and field settings._
- _Preparing technical reports, research documentation, and assisting in patent or publication writing._
- _Ensuring proper maintenance, calibration, and safety of laboratory equipment._
- _Participating in interdepartmental meetings and collaborations._
- _Supporting the management of subcontractors or vendors related to membrane or enzyme sourcing._
- _Traveling when necessary for field trials, supplier visits, or collaborator meetings._
- **Qualifications**_
- _M.Sc./M.Tech. with 3+ years of experience or Ph.D. in Membrane Science, Biomaterials, Enzyme Immobilization, Biotechnology, Polymer Science, or closely related fields._
- Knowledge / Experience_
- **Essential**:_
- _Strong experience in membrane design and fabrication for biosensors or biomedical devices._
- _Practical knowledge of enzyme immobilization techniques and evaluation of enzyme performance post-immobilization._
- _Exposure to characterization techniques for membranes and biomolecular layers._
- _Experience working in academic or industrial research focused on translational or applied outcomes._
- **Preferred**:_
- _Familiarity with materials science, including polymers, hydrogels, and surface modification methods._
- _Understanding of electrochemical sensing principles and how membranes/enzymes impact sensor signals._
- _Experience with analytical techniques like SEM, FTIR, contact angle, UV-vis, or electrochemical methods (CV, EIS, chronoamperometry)._
- _Prior use of Design of Experiments (DoE) for optimization._

- _Ability to independently review scientific literature and formulate new concepts or strategies._
- _Strong experimental planning, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills._
- _Clear and concise technical writing skills for documentation, publications, or patents._

- _Proficiency in lab data handling tools and scientific software._
