**Job Title**: Fabric Checker

**Department**: Quality Control / Fabric Department
**Location**: Sitapura
**Reports To**: Fabric In-Charge / Quality Supervisor

**Job Objective**:
To ensure that all incoming fabrics meet company quality standards by performing detailed inspections for defects, measurements, color consistency, and overall quality before issuance to production.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fabric Inspection**:

- Inspect incoming and in-house fabrics for defects such as holes, stains, weaving faults, color variation, etc.
- Use the **4-point system** (or company’s standard inspection method) to evaluate fabric quality.
- Check fabric width, GSM, shade, and hand feel as per the approved sample.
- **Quality Documentation**:

- Record all inspection findings accurately in the **fabric inspection report**.
- Tag and segregate defective rolls for further review or rejection.
- Maintain daily inspection logs and submit to the Fabric In-Charge/QA team.
- **Coordination**:

- Coordinate with the **Fabric Store** and **Merchandising** teams for fabric status updates.
- Inform the supervisor immediately if any major quality deviations are found.
- **Fabric Handling**:

- Ensure proper handling, unrolling, and refolding of fabric rolls during inspection.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the inspection area.
- **Compliance & Safety**:

- Follow all **company safety protocols** and **quality assurance standards**.
- Support in fabric audits and assist during third-party inspections when required.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- Good knowledge of different **fabric types** (woven, knit, prints, etc.)
- Understanding of **fabric quality parameters** and inspection techniques
- Detail-oriented with good observation skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Basic communication and coordination skills

**Qualification & Experience**:

- **Education**: Minimum 10th / 12th Pass or Diploma in Textile Technology preferred
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in fabric inspection or quality department in a têxtile/garment manufacturing setup

**Working Conditions**:

- Factory/Unit-based role
- Standing and manual fabric handling required
- Shift duty may be applicable

**Performance Indicators (KPI)**:

- Accuracy of inspection reports
- Percentage of defective fabric identified before production
- Timely submission of reports
- Fabric wastage and rejections minimized

Pay: ₹10,098.57 - ₹35,984.85 per month
