**Position Summary**:
This position is responsible for the development of Technical Manuals for Automotive Industry. These aspects include analysis and graphical representation of wiring harness and connector information, researching design and release documents, product development documents, plant installation drawings, parts detail drawings, technical service bulletins, CAD data, and hands-on procedures on Automotives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops technical documentation based on the level of equity assigned.
- Develop diagnostic procedures using Part 2 Spec, wiring schematics and other engineering data.
- Performs teardown, removal and installation, disassembly and assembly processes to document procedures
- Responsible for delivery of projects which are on time, within budget and accurate
- Validates technical information based on client-supplied information
- Authors information using various electronic systems, such as ArborText / XMeta, GradeX, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Advises project manager of project status and potential issues
- Provide training/guidance to less experienced authors
- Facilitate Customer Satisfaction by means of adhering to standards, timelines & qualitative output
- Update various tracking sheets and advise team leader/manager regarding progress of work
- Participate in (internal/customer) meetings to update status of work assignments & for technical discussions
- Provide training/guidance to less experienced authors

- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks to ensure efficiencies
- Ability to multitask and interface with many personalities
- Solid understanding of authoring tools (SGML/XML), Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. DITA and InDesign a plus.
- Enthusiastic and well organized
- Capable of adhering to schedules and raising issues as necessary
- Ability to work with domestic and international business cultures

**Education/Experience**:
Associates with Mechanical/Automotive Degree. Approximately 2-5 years of related experience preferred. Experience in Automotive Technical Publications & 3. Hands on experience of vehicle electrical diagnostics
