Our client RootsGoods is an interactive multi-disciplinary platform with specialised software to carry out an objective assessment of the quality of maize, negotiate and sell it based on a fair assessment of the quality and transport the agri-commodities from farms to buyers’ addresses.

**WORK SCOPE**

The scope of the work for the **Field Operations Officer - Punjab**is to help improve the efficiency of the quality assessment product of RootsGoods as listed below.
- **FPO/Farmer Leads Management -**To initialise conversation & rapport building with the Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) of your local region who are partners of RootsGoods or onboard FPOs in collaboration with local university or governmental agriculture institute/organisation for business development leads and verify the qualifying prospective clients and establish official collaboration.
- **Supporting Sales and Operation -**By following up the FPOs on intervals, if there is a prospect sale based upon the needs on weekly basis. Handle objections and close the sale, update any feedback from the customers into company's database, and follow up the repeat business and referrals. Work on collection of farmers and buyers’ data to keep up-to-date track of customer farm and warehouse inventory.
- **Primary database -**Updating existing customer (farmers and buyers) list with latest price and offers available on weekly basis along with updating daily list of customers in the case of any advance order or pre-booking, it should be updated and followed up with company’s database.

**SPECIFIC ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Knowledge and/or previous experience working with Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO)’s preferred.
- Daily interactions and developing database on FPO’s in your local region.
- Search and onboarding new FPOs for Maize procurement in your local area.
- Managing Procurement of maize from onboarded FPO’s in your local area.
- Maintaining maize farmer database in the FPO’s locations.
- To conduct farmer training regarding post-harvest aspects as suggested by company.
- To supervise the farmers of concerned work.
- Supervise crops if required.
- Supervise harvesting and proper dispatches as per company’s schedule and maintain liaison for the farmers to the warehouses or buyers.
- Manage total sale logistics and its records.
- To submit the work / sale data when required to management.
- Should be a good team player with multitasking abilities.
- Should possess good communication skills with an ability to initiate, acquire and build long-term communication.

**SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS**
- 2-wheeler with valid licence.
- Local language (Punjabi) and English language proficiency.
- Graduation / Diploma in agriculture preferred.
- Experience: 0-2 years.

**TERMS OF AGREEMENT AND FACILITY**
- We offer basic amenities, including web space and the flexibility to work remotely.
- The initial compensation for this position is determined by experience and skillset used for 8 hours of work per day, six days per week.
- We offer the option of an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) for positive impact on the growth of the company and employee.
- We provide reimbursement for travel expenses incurred in pre-approved business trips.
