As an Academic Counsellor at Chandigarh University, you will be responsible for providing academic and personal support to students, helping them navigate through their educational journey and ensuring their success both inside and outside of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Support: Provide guidance to students on course selection, program requirements, and academic planning. Help students develop study skills, time management strategies, and test-taking techniques.

2. Personal Development: Offer support and guidance to students facing personal challenges such as stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Provide resources and referrals to support services as needed.

3. Individual Counseling: Meet with students individually to discuss their academic progress, career goals, and personal concerns. Offer advice and support to help students overcome obstacles and achieve their potential.

4. Group Workshops: Organize and facilitate workshops and group sessions on topics such as study skills, time management, stress management, and career planning.

5. Academic Monitoring: Monitor students' academic progress and intervene when necessary to provide support and guidance. Identify students who may be struggling and develop intervention plans to help them succeed.

6. Collaboration: Work closely with faculty, staff, and other university stakeholders to support the overall success and well-being of students. Build strong relationships with the university community to create a supportive environment for students.

Qualifications:

- A master's degree in counseling, psychology, education, or related field.
- Previous experience in academic advising, counseling, or student support services preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.
- Knowledge of current issues and trends in higher education and student development.
