**Job Description:

- **
- A Maintenance Fitter's job is to install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. They may work in factories, industrial plants, building sites, or transport depots. Some of their responsibilities include:

- Installation: Install pipework, valves, pumps, and motors
- Maintenance: Perform planned maintenance checks, preventive maintenance, and routine maintenance
- Repair: Find and fix faults, replace worn parts, and respond to emergency breakdowns
- Testing: Test machines to ensure they are safe and all components are working as expected
- Troubleshooting: Solve problems that arise during the industrial process
- Interpretation: Interpret drawings, diagrams, and specifications
- Assembly: Assemble machinery parts according to technical specifications
- Cleaning: Clean machinery
- Maintenance fitters should have mechanical knowledge, patience, discipline, and an eye for detail. They should also be able to read and understand technical manuals, instructions, and warnings.
