**Summary**:
As a member of the front office team at **Hotel GSR, Tumkur**, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive and memorable experience from check-in to check-out. Your role will involve a range of responsibilities including guest interactions, administrative tasks, and maintaining the smooth operation of the front desk.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Service**:

- Handling check in and check out of a guest in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with prompt and effective resolution.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Process check-ins and check-outs efficiently and accurately.
- Manage reservations, including booking, modifications, and cancellations.
- Maintain accurate guest records and update information as needed.
- **Communication**:

- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to fulfil guest requests.
- Communicate any special guest needs or issues to relevant staff members.
- Ensure all phone calls are answered promptly and professionally.
- **Financial Transactions**:

- Handle cash, credit card, and other financial transactions securely and accurately.
- Prepare and process guest billing, including handling any discrepancies.
- Completing the daily financial closing process, including balancing accounts and preparing reports.
- **Operational Tasks**:

- Maintain a clean and organised front desk area.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and report generation.
- Ensure proper handling of guest luggage and deliveries.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or coursework is a plus.
- Previous experience in a customer service or front office role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Should be able to handle excel & ott.
- Professional appearance and demeanour.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
