Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Registration:

- Greet patients and their families upon admission to the hospital.
- Collect necessary demographic and insurance information for billing purposes.
- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Billing Process:

- Accurately input patient information into the hospital's billing system.
- Create and maintain patient accounts in the billing database.
- Generate invoices and bills for services rendered during the patient's stay.
- Ensure compliance with all billing regulations and standards.
- Insurance Coordination:

- Liaise with insurance companies to verify coverage and obtain pre-authorizations if required.
- Assist patients in understanding their insurance benefits and responsibilities.
- Submit insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims or denials.
- Financial Counseling:

- Provide financial counseling to patients regarding their medical bills and payment options.
- Address any billing inquiries or concerns from patients or their families in a timely and professional manner.
- Discharge Process:

- Coordinate billing activities related to patient discharge, including finalizing charges and preparing discharge summaries.
- Ensure that all relevant documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with hospital policies.
- Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain detailed records of billing activities, payments received, and outstanding balances.
- Prepare reports on billing metrics, such as revenue collections, aging of accounts receivable, and denial rates.
- Assist in auditing billing records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments, such as the finance department and medical records, to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on changes in billing procedures and regulations.

**Salary**: ₹11,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
