Junior Warehouse Officer

As a Warehouse Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the overall operations of a warehouse. This includes coordinating and supervising warehouse staff, overseeing inventory management, optimizing warehouse processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
**Warehouse Operations**: Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials, equipment, and products. Ensure efficient workflow, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance with safety guidelines.

**Inventory Management**:Monitor and manage inventory levels, conduct regular cycle counts, and reconcile physical inventory with system inventory. Optimize inventory storage and replenishment strategies to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize stockouts or overstocks.

**Staff Supervision**: Supervise and provide leadership to warehouse staff, including assigning tasks, training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Ensure optimal staffing levels and schedule staff to meet operational requirements.

**Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvement in warehouse operations, such as layout optimization, workflow efficiency, and use of technology. Implement changes to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.

**Quality Control**: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of materials and products. Monitor and address quality issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

**Health and Safety**: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of materials, as well as safe operation of warehouse equipment. Conduct regular safety inspections and address safety concerns promptly.

**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of warehouse activities, such as receiving, inventory levels, shipments, and returns. Prepare and submit reports to management as required.

**Customer Service**: Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, such as vendors and carriers, to ensure timely and accurate shipments, resolve issues, and provide excellent customer service.

**Training and Development**: Provide training and development opportunities to warehouse staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience

Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and staff supervision

Strong knowledge of warehouse processes, SOPs, and inventory control principles

**Skills Required**:

- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and guidelines in a warehouse environment
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Ability to work independently, as well as in a team
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
