Digital Designer

Position Title: Digital Designer

Key Responsibilities:

- **Design Conceptualization**: Develop creative concepts and ideas for têxtile prints, patterns, and graphics. Collaborate with clients, têxtile engineers, and marketing teams to understand design requirements, brand guidelines, and target audience preferences.
- **Digital Artwork Creation**: Use computer-aided design (CAD) software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or specialized têxtile design software to create digital artwork for têxtile printing. Manipulate images, colors, and textures to achieve desired visual effects.
- **Pattern Development**: Design and create repeat patterns, motifs, and graphics suitable for têxtile printing processes such as rotary screen printing, digital printing, and sublimation printing. Ensure that patterns align seamlessly for continuous printing on fabrics.
- **Color Management**: Select and adjust color palettes to achieve accurate color reproduction in printed têxtiles. Ensure consistency and precision in color matching across different printing substrates and production runs.
- **Technical Specifications**: Prepare detailed technical specifications and artwork files for production, including color separations, screen meshes, and print repeats. Ensure that artwork files meet printing requirements and industry standards.
- **Sample Production**: Collaborate with production teams to produce samples and prototypes of printed têxtiles for client approval and quality testing. Make adjustments to artwork as needed based on feedback and test results.
- **File Management**: Organize and maintain digital design files, libraries, and archives. Implement version control systems to track revisions and updates to artwork files.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Work closely with cross-functional teams including têxtile engineers, production managers, sales representatives, and clients. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment on design objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- **Market Research and Trend Analysis**: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies in têxtile printing and design. Conduct trend research and analysis to inform design decisions and stay competitive in the market.
- **Quality Assurance**: Review printed samples and production outputs to ensure quality standards and adherence to design specifications. Identify and address any issues related to color accuracy, print registration, or image clarity.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, or related field.
- Proven experience in digital design, preferably in the têxtile or fashion industry.
- Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with CAD software for têxtile design
- Strong creative skills and a keen eye for color, pattern, and texture.
- Knowledge of têxtile printing processes, color management techniques, and print production workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Understanding of branding principles, marketing concepts, and consumer trends in the têxtile industry.
