The Dispatch Supervisor oversees the dispatch operations, ensuring that all services are provided in a timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This role includes managing dispatchers, coordinating with drivers and other logistics staff, and maintaining communication with customers to meet their delivery needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Supervise Dispatch Operations**: Oversee daily dispatch operations, ensuring that schedules and routes are maintained efficiently.
- **Team Management**: Lead and manage a team of dispatchers, providing training, support, and performance evaluations.
- **Coordination**: Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other logistics personnel to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- **Customer Service**: Maintain communication with customers to update them on delivery status and handle any service-related inquiries or issues.
- **Scheduling**: Create and adjust driver schedules and routes based on demand and service requirements.
- **Compliance**: Ensure all dispatch operations comply with company policies, safety standards, and relevant regulations.
- **Reporting**: Prepare and maintain accurate reports on dispatch activities, performance metrics, and any incidents.
- **Problem Solving**: Address and resolve any operational issues or emergencies that arise during dispatch operations.
- **Technology Utilization**: Utilize dispatch software and other technological tools to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dispatch or logistics, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.

Working Conditions:

- **Environment**: Office setting with occasional visits to warehouses and field locations.
- **Hours**: Full-time; may require evening, weekend, and holiday work depending on operational needs.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to sit for extended periods, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
