**Introduction**:
As a Barclays Business Analyst and Project Manager for the Equities Data Warehouse program, you will be supporting the Senior Business Analyst and the Senior Project Manager. The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for facing off to the EDW Product stakeholders, summarizing their requirements and translating them to the multiple development leads. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overall Program tracking and status reporting.
What will you be doing?
- Provide support to the Lead Business Analyst / Project Manager, helping articulate and present effective requirement proposals within a project or initiative.
- Able to elicit, validate and document business requirements in either Business Requirement Documents or user/feature stories depending on the change methodology in use by the development teams.
- Participate in the design process co-ordinated by the programme management team, from design approval to functional design completion - help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered.
- Owning JIRA artefacts of all such user stories and follow through the JIRA items all the way in their lifecycle
- Own the delivery of the work assigned and drive it to successful completion. Work proactively with stakeholders.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Experience as a Business Analyst working on medium to large-scale change initiatives.
- Good understanding of project delivery methodologies including the software development lifecycle and the role of the business analysts in these contexts.
- Adept at using Microsoft Office products and other software packages relevant to analysis work, e.g. Excel, Project, Visio.
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience preparing and issuing a range of key business analysis artefacts.
- Experience with supporting the end-to-end testing cycle within a change initiative.

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Business Analysis Accreditation(s) would be beneficial.
- Experience with Equity trading flows and processes for cash and derivatives. Knowledge of market regulations would be advantageous.
- Understanding of Data warehouse concepts and design.
- Experience of writing basic SQL
- Experience of carrying out business analysis across multiple systems in an organization
