Officer - Fire Prevention

Location: Hyderabad, IN- Company: GMR Hyderabad Intl Arprt**JOB PURPOSE**:

To achieve acceptable level of Fire Safety as per the Annual Fire Prevention Plan by ensuring all airport buildings are provided with applicable fire protection and alarm system as per the norms. He shall ensure that the periodic inspection and maintenance of fire extinguishers and hydrants are carried out by the team. He shall identify hazard by conducting inspection and audits of buildings & taking up with respective agencies for timely closure. He shall impart fire safety trainings to employees of GHIAL and stake holders, scrutiny & issue of work for issuing permits, walkthrough with Space committee for fire safety recommendation and timely issue of NOC.

- To ensure that the Telangana State Fire Service Act, other acts, codes & standards relevant to fire safety is upheld at RGIA buildings with compliance to the provisions of NBC India Part IV 2005.
- To liaise with internal stake holders of PTB, GMR Aero Towers, Cargo Complex and ATC during the Fire NOC inspection by regulatory authorities and support Fire Prevention officer in enforcing the Telangana State Fire act for NOC compliance requirement.

**To carry out fire investigation on the fire scenes** as and when directed by Fire Prevention Officer for determining the origin and cause of the fire/incident by correlating with various guidelines.

**Fire Prevention trainings (Covering approx. 8000 + stakeholder employees)**
- To identify the training requirement for the stake holders and complete the same as per State Fire Services act.
- Conduct FAFA and Fire Warden training sessions to the employees of airport community as per the schedule and to maintain the records.

- To conduct joint audit of internal and external fire hydrants and ensure its serviceability
- To execute discussions with the stake holders, building inspectors regarding the issues pertaining to fire safety etc. and deliver lecture on fire safety and fire prevention topics when required.
- To manage the fire safety audits and fire safety hazard inspection of various RGIA buildings and installations by upholding the Telangana State Fire Service Act. other acts, codes & standards relevant to fire safety and the examination of building plan for compliance with the applicable codes and standards. Follow up for closures of fire safety audit reports.

To uphold the timely issue of Terminal Work Permit, Hot Work Permit, Confined Space Work permit, and take part in walkthrough for space clearance for the concessioners, operation commencement of stores and giving fire safety recommendation.

- Timely submission of report to Fire Prevention officer such as Fire hazard inspection report, fire safety audit report, Fire extinguisher serviceability status with defect report, building fire incident report, FAFA & Fire Warden Training report.

- To supervise team for preparing dash board for data analysis / KPI
