**Responsibilities**
- **Assessment and Diagnosis**:Evaluate patients' psychological and behavioral functioning, conduct mental status exams, and identify underlying issues through interviews and psychological tests.
- **Treatment Planning**:Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including psychotherapy, behavioral interventions, and other therapeutic approaches.
- **Therapy**:Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy to address specific needs and goals.
- **Collaboration**:Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- **Crisis Intervention**:Offer immediate support and guidance during crisis situations, including suicide prevention and risk assessment.
- **Documentation**:Maintain accurate and thorough records of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress.
- **Research and Training**:May engage in research to advance knowledge and contribute to training and education for other professionals.
