**Role description**:
**Job Summary**:
We are looking for an experienced **Google Cloud Apigee Administrator** to manage, configure, and support Apigee API platforms within our cloud ecosystem. This role focuses on administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and securing Apigee environments. You’ll work closely with development and DevOps teams to ensure smooth API operations and integrations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Install, configure, and maintain **Apigee Edge / Apigee X** on Google Cloud.
- Manage **API proxies**, **policies**, **shared flows**, **virtual hosts**, and **target endpoints**.
- Handle **upgrades**, **patches**, and configuration updates to ensure system stability and performance.
- Monitor API traffic, latency, and errors using **Apigee Analytics**, **Cloud Logging**, and **Monitoring (Stackdriver)**.
- Troubleshoot deployment and runtime issues, including **OAuth**, **JWT**, **TLS**, and other security-related problems.
- Work with API developers and DevOps to deploy APIs and configurations using **CI/CD pipelines**.
- Ensure **API security**, **RBAC**, and **governance policies** are properly implemented.
- Maintain documentation for API setups, security policies, and operational procedures.
- Support **capacity planning**, **scaling**, and performance tuning of Apigee environments.

- Solid knowledge of API security**:OAuth 2.0**, **JWT**, **mTLS**, **API Keys**.
- Familiarity with **CI/CD tools** such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Basic understanding of **REST APIs**, **JSON/XML**, **HTTP**, **DNS**, and **TLS**.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- **Google Cloud / Apigee API Engineer Certification**.
- Experience with **Cloud Logging and Monitoring (Stackdriver)**.
- Scripting knowledge in **Python**, **Bash**, or **Shell** for automation.

**Experience Range**:

- **5 - 10 years** (minimum 3+ years in Apigee administration)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with **Apigee Edge / Apigee X**.
- Strong understanding of **Google Cloud Platform (GCP)** and **IAM**.
