Overview

We are currently seeking a Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Team. You’ll play an integral role in an exciting and fast-paced team where the sky is truly the limit. In this role you will play a crucial part in supporting the Finance and Accounts team by understanding and documenting the requirements.

**Who Are You?**: You are consistent and accurate in accounting data entry. It is indispensable to have a knowledge of accounting and to understand how to use accounting software systems. Responsible for entering and reconciling financial transactions with the assistance of various software systems, and for this reason, basic accounting knowledge and basic usage of computer and MS office is required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintains general ledger, AR & AP modules.
- Balances general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
- Recording of debits and credits
- Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
- Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
- Monitor any variances from the projected budget
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements and compliances.

**Requirements**:

- Basic accounting knowledge
- Understanding accounting best practices
- Data entry skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Produce work with a high level of accuracy
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with 1-2 years of experience

Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Previous bookkeeping experience preferred

Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is an added advantage.
