Job DescriptionBIW Fixture design '“ B.E. / B.Tech (Mechanical / Production / Automotive / Design)
- Hands on Experience in Designing & Detailing of spot welding/MIG welding fixtures (automated and manual)
- CATIA V5
- UG NX
- Design experience in BIW welding fixtures
- Good knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process
- Experience in working on various OEM’s like GM, VW, BMW, FORD, DAIMLER etc.,
- Experience in conducting Technical Review with customer
- Exposure to multiple CAD tools will be an added advantage
- Experience in Teamcenter will be added advantage

Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills.

BIW Fixture design
- Concept Design (Design clamps, pin units stationary as well as retractable, slides and dumps)
- Exposure to Welding Lines Process & Layout (Spot Welding, ARC welding)
- Performs basic engineering calculations to verify design integrity
- Create 2D manufacturing drawings and BOM
- Knowledge of tolerances and materials
- Read and understand GD&T drawings
- Designing of BIW welding fixtures
- Concept Design, 3D finish, 2D Layout & detailing
- Quality check as per customer standards
- Documentation as per customer standards
- Technical reviews with customer
- Co-ordination with Offshore Team
