Job Description: Career Counsellor for the, University Career Management Cell, Chandigarh University

Position Overview: The Career Counsellor will be responsible for providing career guidance, support, and resources to students of Chandigarh University. They will work closely with individuals to assess their skills, interests, and goals, and provide appropriate career counselling services to help them make informed decisions about their career paths. The Career Counsellor will also collaborate with faculty, and staff to enhance career development programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide individual career counselling to students and alumni:

- Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions to assess career goals, interests, and skills.
- Assist individuals in exploring various career options and developing career plans.
- Help individuals identify and utilize resources for job searching, internships, and networking.

2. Facilitate career development workshops and seminars:

- Plan and deliver workshops on career exploration, resume writing, interview skills, and job search strategies.
- Organize seminars and panel discussions featuring industry professionals to provide insights into different career fields.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to integrate career development activities into the academic curriculum.

3. Coordinate career fairs and recruitment events:

- Organize and manage career fairs, job expos, and other networking events on campus.
- Liaise with employers to promote their participation in career events and facilitate recruitment opportunities for students.
- Assist students in connecting with potential employers and securing internships, co-op placements, and full-time positions.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Proven experience in career counselling, preferably in an educational setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of career development theories and practices.
- Knowledge of market trends in Legal & Liberal Arts domain, industry requirements, and job search strategies.
- Familiarity with career assessment tools and resources.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using technology for career-related activities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹12,624.75 per month
