We are looking for an experienced **Solar Designer** with a strong background in **ground-mounted PV systems and solar park design** to join our growing renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and layout of large-scale solar photovoltaic systems, from initial concept through to detailed construction-ready drawings. This is a highly collaborative position that works closely with project engineers, development teams, and construction partners to deliver efficient, high-performance solar farms.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design and develop utility-scale and large commercial **ground-mounted solar PV systems**.
- Create **site layout plans**, **electrical single-line diagrams**, **stringing configurations**, and **mounting system layouts**.
- Perform **shading analysis**, **yield assessments**, and **energy simulations** using software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or PV*SOL.
- Use **AutoCAD**, **Civil 3D**, or similar tools to create detailed site plans and construction drawings.
- Conduct **topographical analysis** and **site grading optimization** in collaboration with civil engineering teams.
- Evaluate tracker vs. fixed-tilt system options based on site conditions and project goals.
- Assist with **equipment selection** (inverters, modules, structures) based on technical and economic performance.
- Ensure all designs are compliant with **local building codes**, **NEC (or applicable electrical codes)**, **environmental regulations**, and **utility interconnection requirements**.
- Collaborate with the development team on **feasibility studies** and **preliminary designs** for land acquisition and permitting.
- Support the permitting and utility interconnection process by producing accurate and timely drawing sets and documentation.
- Provide **technical support** during construction and commissioning as needed.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- **3+ years of experience designing ground-mounted / utility-scale solar systems**.
- Proficiency in **AutoCAD**, **PVsyst**, and other solar design tools.
- Strong understanding of **solar park components**, including trackers, inverters, string configurations, and grid integration.
- Familiarity with **civil and structural aspects** of large-scale solar projects.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE, local utility guidelines).
- Experience working with **topographical maps, GIS data**, and land contouring.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work on time.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience with **SolarBOS**, **PlantPredict**, **PVcase**, or other advanced design tools.
- Familiarity with **SCADA**, energy storage systems, and hybrid plant configurations.
- NABCEP PV Design Specialist certification or similar credentials.
- Experience working across international solar markets and permitting jurisdictions.
