Global Commodity Supplier Quality Coordinator

**Job Description Summary**: The Global Commodity Supplier Quality Coordinator has an important role to ensure the success and consistently applied supplier product qualification process across regions.

This role will coordinate the supplier product qualification process for the Ferrous Metals commodities in Nuclear Rotating Equipment. He / She will work with the strategic sourcing leaders, Regional SQE, Engineering and projects functions to create the right supply chain to successfully deliver these commodities to meet the Nuclear Company business expectations on quality, cost and lead time.

**Responsibilities**

As the Global Commodity SQ Coordinator, you will:

- Work with strategic sourcing leaders to define / agree / communicate to all stake holders a rolling 3 year commodity roadmap identifying the SQ tasks to ensure the right supply chain strategy to meet business goal.
- Coordinate the technical experts (product owners and special process specialists) from engineering, manufacturing or other cross region functions to deliver critical tasks in the roadmap.
- Perform technical assessment of new suppliers to find out their appropriate experience and capability to successfully manufacturing our products. Identifying significant risks and mitigation plans to be implemented in the qualification process.
- Work with the regional SQE leaders and their teams to find out the right resources to execute the roadmap commitments.
- Coach and technically guide regional SQE to take ownership of qualification and supplier development actions, so they are completed consistently at suppliers across regions.
- Track and drive progress against roadmap commitments and regularly report this to management on a monthly basis.
- Working with engineering establish and maintain generic product qualification process requirements for all products in the commodity group.
- Working with Engineering define the right product codes and customised product qualification requirements for a particular supplier and products to be followed by the regional SQE.
- Working with engineering establish technical product and qualification process training for new SQE, sourcing and engineering.
- Following critical supplier caused quality escapes, support/steer critical root cause analysis and create the right corrective actions and preventative actions.
- Determine and drive cost out opportunities identified by the suppliers.
- Steer technical manufacturing process audits at critical suppliers.

**Requirements**:

- 10years career in Power Generation Industry with experience of manufacturing, quality control and / or inspections.
- Education in quality, materials, engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills in English language.
- Strong quality mindset with proven use of the quality tool kit in risk assessment, 8D and manufacturing process controls.
- Proven experience as lead auditor.
- Strong influencing and responsive skills.
- Strong understand of Design, Quality Control and Manufacturing processes for steam turbine blading.
- Proven experience to define / delegate and coordinate mission based tasks.
- Willingness to travel to suppliers (four cross region trips/year, total travel not expected to exceed 20%).
