Core Responsibilities- Metal Market Analytics: Conduct deep-dive analysis on global and domestic metal market trends (supply, demand, inventory) to develop precise forecasting models for metal pricing and volatility.- Trading Insights: Provide critical, data-driven insights to the Trading and Risk teams, focusing specifically on dynamics and liquidity within the MCX (Multi Commodity Exchange of India).- Quantitative Modeling: Design, build, and maintain predictive models using advanced statistical tools (Python/R) to evaluate trading strategies, optimize hedging, and assess portfolio risk.- Strategic Reporting: Translate complex data and model outputs into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for executive leadership and commercial decision-makers.Required Qualifications- Experience: 5-10 years of progressive experience in an analytical, quantitative, or research role, ideally within a commodity trading firm, financial institution, or metals enterprise.- Domain Expertise: Proven exposure to the metals or hard commodities market, including practical understanding of trading, pricing mechanisms, and risk management.- Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in SQL and statistical programming languages (Python or R) for data manipulation and model development.- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
