**Job Title: MIG Welder**

**Department: Fabrication / Production**

**Reports To: Supervisor / Plant Manager**

**Location: Truform Engineers, Nagpur**

**Job Summary**:
The MIG Welder is responsible for operating metal inert gas (MIG) welding equipment and its assemblies. The role requires a high level of precision, attention to safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set up and operate MIG welding machines based on the required weld specifications.
- Prepare and clean materials to ensure proper welds.
- Perform welding on Ductile Iron Pipes and Cast Iron Pipes as required.
- Inspect and measure finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE while welding.
- Perform weld repairs and rework defective welds as necessary.
- Work with supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.
- Keep daily production and inspection records accurately.

**Required Qualifications**:

- ITI / Diploma in Welding or relevant certification.
- 2+ years of hands-on MIG welding experience.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to handle overhead cranes for lifting of heavy materials.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with pipe welding or structural fabrication.
- Ability to weld in different positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead).
- Basic understanding of quality control and non-destructive testing.

**Work Conditions**:

- Industrial shop floor / fabrication unit environment.
- May require overtime or shift work depending on production needs.
