**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Design Development & Embroidery Innovation**:

- Create original design concepts (mood boards, color palettes, fabric swatches) with a **strong emphasis on embroidery techniques**—zardozi, threadwork, sequins, and 3D embellishments.
- Integrate traditional and modern embroidery methods into contemporary western wear silhouettes (blazers, dresses, jumpsuits, tailored separates).
- Collaborate with in-house artisans and external embroidery specialists to prototype designs.
- **Première Vision-Focused Collection Planning**:

- Lead the end-to-end development of a **Première Vision-ready collection**, ensuring designs align with global luxury trends and the event’s thematic focus.
- Coordinate with the production team to meet critical deadlines for sample completion, fittings, and quality checks ahead of the September showcase.
- **Trend Research & Market Positioning**:

- Conduct deep-dive research into global embroidery trends, luxury prêt aesthetics, and competitor analysis (e.g., Ricamour, Elie Saab).
- Attend **Première Vision Paris**, Pitti Filati, and other key trade shows to source inspiration, fabrics, and embroidery innovations.
- **Material Sourcing & Supplier Collaboration**:

- Source premium fabrics (silks, linens, organic cottons) and embroidery materials (beads, threads, pearls) from global suppliers.
- Liaise with European and Indian artisans to ensure technical feasibility of intricate embroidery designs.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Work with the marketing team to craft compelling narratives around embroidery techniques for brand campaigns and lookbooks.
- Partner with technical designers to ensure embroidery patterns align with garment construction and durability.
- **Quality Control & Precision**:

- Oversee rigorous quality checks for embroidery detailing, stitch consistency, and fabric integrity.
- Refine designs based on feedback from sample fittings and production constraints.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Fashion Design from **NIFT, NID, Central St. Martins, Istituto Marangoni, or similar**.
- **5+ years in luxury prêt-à-porter**, with expertise in **embroidery-heavy western wear** (portfolio required).
- Technical proficiency in **embroidery digitization software** (Wilcom, Pulse) and design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Procreate).
- Deep understanding of global luxury markets, especially European and Middle Eastern clientele.
- Experience collaborating with artisans, karigars, or haute couture embroidery houses.
- Fluency in managing production timelines for high-stakes events like Première Vision.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Prior work with luxury brands/designers on embroidery-focused collections.
- Knowledge of sustainable practices in têxtile and embellishment sourcing.
- Fluency in French or Italian (advantageous for Première Vision networking).
