**Job Description**:
Piping Designer

Primary Objective:
Specific Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills by liaising with members of other disciplines and departments.
- Show an awareness and willingness to work within the team.
- Adhere to Quality Assurance guidelines and provisions within the Quality Assurance systems.
- Take responsibility for personal safety and work within Occupational Health & Safety procedures.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- Diploma in engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 to 8 years of proven experience in detailed piping design acquired from design contractors and/or oil/gas companies within the power and petrochemical industry.
- Proficiency in reviewing P&ID, PFDs, and vendor documents (such as GA drawings of equipment, instruments & valves).
- Ability to route pipes in PDMS & E3D with reference to P&ID and relevant codes.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ASME B31.1 & B31.3.
- Experience in modeling piping, structural, electrical components, equipment, and pipe supports.
- Capability to deliver error-free isometrics/drawings on time.
- Familiarity with checking piping design deliverables.
- Proficient in preparing piping general arrangement and pipe support drawings.
- Skilled in preparing Material Take-Offs (MTO).
- Competence in identifying and resolving clashes in design.
- Strong communication skills and coordination abilities with other disciplines.
- Proficiency in preparing various piping deliverables such as Plot Plans, Piping Layouts, Equipment Layouts, Isometrics, etc.
- Ability to work independently.
- Participation in a piping design team for at least three major Greenfield projects with a recognized company in the Power/Oil & Gas Industry.
- At least 3 years of experience as a user of PDMS, E3D & AutoCAD applicable to piping layout and design.
- A committed team player capable of working with mínimal supervision.
- Exposure to fabrication, construction, and installation activities, although detailed involvement is not essential.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards such as ASME B31.1 & B31.3.
