A bartender plays a crucial role in the food and beverage industry by serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in bars, restaurants, hotels, and other establishments. The job description of a bartender typically includes the following responsibilities and duties:
1. Mixing and Serving Drinks:

- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Adhere to proper measurements and pouring techniques to ensure consistent and quality drinks.
- Garnish drinks with appropriate decorations, such as fruit slices, olives, or cocktail umbrellas.

2. Customer Service:

- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take drink orders and offer recommendations based on customers' preferences and the establishment's menu.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service, including checking on patrons and addressing any issues or concerns.

3. Cash Handling:

- Handle cash and credit card payments accurately, process tabs, and return change as needed.
- Keep an organized cash register and maintain a record of transactions.

4. Bar Maintenance:

- Keep the bar area clean and well-organized, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Restock bar supplies, such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice, as needed.
- Ensure the bar area complies with health and safety regulations and follows responsible alcohol service guidelines.

5. Knowledge of Drinks and Ingredients:

- Have a good understanding of various types of alcoholic beverages, cocktails, and their ingredients.
- Stay updated on new drink trends and the establishment's drink menu.

6. Responsible Alcohol Service:

- Monitor customers' alcohol consumption and prevent overconsumption.
- Verify the legal drinking age of customers and refuse service to underage or intoxicated individuals.
- Handle difficult or unruly customers in a professional and safe manner, involving management or security when necessary.

7. Cleaning and Maintenance:

- Clean and maintain bar equipment, including blenders, shakers, and glassware.
- Ensure that the bar area is clean and well-stocked throughout the shift.

8. Compliance:

- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Follow any specific guidelines and policies established by the establishment, including dress code and employee conduct.

9. Inventory Management:

- Assist in tracking and managing inventory to minimize waste and ensure sufficient stock.
- Report low inventory levels and request replenishment as needed.

10. Communication:

- Work closely with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth operation.
- Communicate with management regarding any issues or concerns related to the bar or customers.

**Salary**: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
