**Job Title**: Student Counsellor
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Individual Counselling**: Provide one-on-one counselling sessions for students to address personal, academic, emotional, and social issues. Offer support in helping students navigate challenges, including anxiety, stress, relationships, and family concerns.
- **Group Counselling and Workshops**: Facilitate group counselling sessions and workshops to address common issues such as bullying, peer pressure, time management, mental health awareness, and study skills.
- **Crisis Intervention**: Offer immediate support to students in crisis, such as those experiencing bullying, trauma, or significant personal challenges. Ensure that students are connected with appropriate resources for continued support.
- **Collaboration with Teachers and Staff**: Work closely with teaching staff, administrators, and other school professionals to identify students in need of support. Provide consultation and advice to faculty on how to best support students in their learning environment.
- **Confidentiality and Documentation**: Maintain accurate and confidential records of counselling sessions, assessments, and interventions. Ensure proper documentation of student progress and concerns, in compliance with school policy and legal requirements.
- **Mental Health Awareness**: Promote mental health and well-being within the school by organizing awareness campaigns, resources, and mental health education for students, staff, and parents.
- **Referral Services**: Identify students who may need additional support outside the school setting (e.g., therapy, psychiatric care) and make referrals to external resources, ensuring follow-up as necessary.
- **Parental Support and Communication**: Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding students’ progress, well-being, and any concerns. Provide guidance to families on how to support their child’s emotional and mental health.
- **Academic Support**: Help students with academic stress, learning difficulties, and time management, working alongside teachers to offer strategies and interventions that support academic success.
- **Preventative Programs**: Develop and implement preventative programs that promote positive mental health, emotional resilience, and social skills among students.
**Key Skills & Qualifications**:
- Master's degree in School Counselling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Certification or licensure as a school counsellor or professional counsellor (as required by local regulations)
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and counselling techniques
- Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills
- Empathetic, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Experience working with students in a school setting (preferred)
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, and parents
- Crisis management and conflict resolution skills

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
