**What it's about**

- In this position, you will be a part of the Private Equity investment team in Mumbai, which focuses on direct investing in companies in India. Partners Group opened its Mumbai office in 2015 and the team has committed nearly USD 1.5 billion of capital to private equity direct investments in Indian businesses
- The role provides high ownership and responsibility across all parts of the investment cycle including (a) sourcing, (b) evaluation of new investment opportunities, and (c) working deeply with portfolio companies

**Responsibilities**
- Source investment opportunities and discuss relevant factors with the firm’s senior managers
- Conduct strategic & financial analysis of various sectors of interest and develop relevant investment themes and companies across India
- Quantitative and qualitative analysis on prospective direct equity investments
- Assist in preparing Investment Committee papers for, and attend Investment Committee meetings on a regular basis
- Take the lead in transaction due diligence work-streams, including financial, commercial, legal, tax, etc.
- Participate in meetings with current and prospective, target companies as well as on-site visits etc.
- Support investment leadership in securing debt arrangements, negotiating purchase agreements, employment agreements and incentive compensation for management teams
- Work closely with portfolio companies in India to implement our value creation plan
- Conduct various tasks related to product reporting, monitoring investments, market research, and marketing efforts

**What we expect**
- 4-6 years of relevant work experience in top-tier private equity, investment banking or management consulting
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work in global multi-cultural teams and cross-border investment environments
- Self-starter, strong work ethic with a desire to learn and succeed.
- Fluency in oral / written English essential (additional Indian language capabilities are desirable)
- Excellent academic credentials with consistent track record
