**Job Summary**: We are seeking a talented and versatile Freelance Fashion Designer with a strong background in fashion design, pattern making, and garment construction. As a key part of our design team, you will be responsible for creating original, on-trend fashion designs, developing technical patterns, and producing high-quality sample garments. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about bringing innovative concepts to life.

This is a freelance job, with opportunities for continuous work with the brand, we require the designer to come up with 20 designs in the western women's office and evening wear category, the designer would be required to seek approvals for the designs from senior management. Once approved the designer would need to follow the below:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Fashion Design**:

- Research and stay updated on current fashion trends, materials, and market needs.
- Conceptualize and sketch original fashion designs for collections, ensuring alignment with client goals and target audience.
- Collaborate with clients or design teams to understand design briefs, brand identity, and project requirements.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, and fabric selections for each collection.
- **Pattern Making**:

- Create detailed, technical flat sketches and patterns for new designs, ensuring proper garment fit and construction.
- Use CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Clo3D, etc.) to develop digital pattern designs, if applicable.
- Develop patterns based on size specifications and grading for various garment sizes.
- Collaborate with manufacturers or production teams to ensure the patterns are suitable for production.
- **Sample Development**:

- Oversee the creation of sample garments from initial design to final product, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Work with seamstresses or production teams to produce prototypes, making adjustments as necessary to refine the designs.
- Conduct fit tests and make revisions to patterns and samples as needed to ensure optimal fit and functionality.
- Present samples to clients or stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- **Client Communication**:

- Maintain open and professional communication with clients to understand project goals and provide regular updates.
- Provide creative solutions and incorporate client feedback into the design and production process.
- Ensure timelines and deadlines are met for the delivery of design concepts, patterns, and samples.
- **Technical Specifications and Documentation**:

- Create detailed tech packs including measurements, materials, trims, construction techniques, and care instructions.
- Prepare production-ready documentation to ensure smooth transitions from prototype to final production.
- **Final Review and Adjustments**:

- Review final samples with clients or internal teams, making necessary adjustments before mass production or final approval.
- Provide recommendations for fabric choices, stitching techniques, and finishing details to enhance the quality and wearability of the garment.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Fashion Designer, with a portfolio demonstrating your design and technical skills.
- Expertise in pattern making, garment construction, and sewing techniques.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of fabric types, garment fit, and fashion trends.
- Excellent understanding of garment construction and technical design.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients, vendors, and production teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- A degree in Fashion Design or a related field (preferred).

**Additional Requirements**:

- Ability to provide samples of previous work or a portfolio showcasing fashion design, patterns, and completed samples.
- Access to the necessary tools and software required for remote design work (if applicable).
- Flexibility to travel for in-person fittings or client meetings (if required).

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: ₹11,905.38 - ₹100,000.00 per month
