About the Department Underwriting is a risk function playing a critical role to ensure profitability of the organisation & to ensure that the right lives are onboarded. It is also responsible to decide the terms and conditions related to risks in order to ensure efficient onboarding of the accurate customers in the organization.

What are we looking for?

Incumbent will be responsible for managing Core & other operational activities in the team.

What does the job entail?
- Accomplishment of agreed service deliverables
- Core Underwriting, Managing Underwriting department’s key deliverables, Risk Management, Process improvement and Training of the team.
- To manage underwriting turnaround time for all New Business and Revival cases
- To manage the grievances and complaints of internal and external customers.
- To manage underwriting query box to address Sales queries
- Proactively, ensure mechanisms or information cascade to reduce complaints / queries
- Analysis and use of data in planning, implementing and controlling for efficient and effective functioning.
- Organize branch/sales interaction through visits or VC’s to communicate the underwriting philosophy and guidelines and solicit feedback.
- Adherence to Turn around time and quality for all underwriting cases
- Meeting productivity targets for self. Essential conditions:

- Education: Graduation (Medical/Paramedical/Science background preferred)
- Work exp: Min 2 years of experience specifically in Life Underwriting.
- Work related skills: Analytical skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, Minimum Underwriting Authority of INR 50 Lakh SAR.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
