**Employment Type**: Full-time / Contract (as applicable)
**Reporting To**: Materials Manager / Project Controls Manager / Warehouse Supervisor

**Job Purpose**:
To ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling, storage, and issuance of all project materials and equipment within refinery or petrochemical facilities. The Material Controller will play a critical role in maintaining optimum inventory levels, supporting project timelines, and ensuring compliance with quality and HSE standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, equipment, and supplies in compliance with purchase orders and refinery quality standards.
- Maintain updated and accurate inventory records using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Coordinate with procurement, project engineering, construction, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability and delivery of materials.
- Monitor and report on material stock levels, shortages, excess inventory, and discrepancies.
- Ensure proper tagging, storage, preservation, and traceability of materials, especially for critical or hazardous items.
- Implement FIFO/LIFO as appropriate and ensure proper binning and location management in the warehouse.
- Prepare and maintain documents such as material issue vouchers, return notes, and transfer orders.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory audits and reconciliation with system data.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and refinery-specific material handling guidelines.
- Support project close-out processes through proper documentation and material handover.
- **Minimum Experience**: 7-8 years as a Material Controller in refinery or petrochemical plant environments.
- **Educational Qualification**: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Industrial / Supply Chain / Logistics or equivalent.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in inventory and warehouse management systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Understanding of refinery materials such as pipes, valves, fittings, chemicals, and mechanical/electrical components.
- Knowledge of international material codes and specifications (ASME, ASTM, etc.)
- **Other Skills**:

- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Good understanding of HSE procedures related to material handling in high-risk environments.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Experience in shutdown/turnaround material handling is an advantage.
- Valid certification in logistics, warehousing, or inventory control (e.g., CILT, APICS) is preferred.
- Previous GCC experience is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹130,000.00 per month
