Who We're Looking For

General Summary:
This position performs secured user access administration, assists internal and external customers in security-related problem solving and issue analysis, and assists with security controls operations and monitoring, and audit evidence development. The Security Administrator ensures protection of company-owned information, monitors audit controls for proprietary, restricted and highly restricted information, provides security consulting to systems project teams, and enforces adherence to security procedures and policies.

Some of What You'll Do

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
55 % Provide secured user access administration on all supported platforms- Receive access request from user and analyze the request to determine level of access necessary.- Take appropriate action to complete the request and notify the customer.- Generate and securely communicate initial passwords.- Revoke user access when required.

30 % Assist in solving customer security issues- Receive customer requests and analyze to determine appropriate actions necessary.- Perform a security review, investigation and/or interview if necessary.- Collaborate with peers to provide solutions or alternatives.- Communicate with customer and acquire approval of the solution or alternative.- Process the request and assist in solution implementation if necessary.

15 % Support individual security projects- Assist with project plan development.- Test and validate the completed product as required.- Assist in monitoring security controls to ensure proper operation and compliance.- Assist in developing evidence of security controls operational effectiveness.- Assist with writing documentation and desktop instructions- Gather and organize the appropriate data.- Format the information so that it is easily understood by the user.- Publish and distribute the documentation.- Update and maintain documentation.

Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of MS Office products.- Basic knowledge of multiple platforms (Tandem, Unix, Windows, Network, Mainframe, Radius).- Strong interpersonal skills.- Strong oral & written communications skills.- Basic analytical and problem solving skills.-
- Leadership skills.- Basic knowledge of telecommunications and wireless industries.- Basic knowledge of security policies/practices (company specific).- Product knowledge.- Industry knowledge.- Influence management.
