- Responsibilities_
- _Maintain Data_
- _Process Time & Attendance_
- _Run Calculation Reports_
- _Identify Payroll Errors_
- _Process pay groups as large as 1,000 active employees_
- 1. Payroll Activities:_
- _Pre-Payroll_
- o Employee record setup & data maintenance_
- o Prepare manual / mass data changes for entry into payroll system_
- o Validate employee data changes from system of record to payroll system_
- o Process DD enrolment forms and W4 Forms_
- o Audit support_
- o Monitor and react to items in the payroll mailbox_
- _Source To Gross_
- o Monitor T&A files & perform validation checks_
- Advise Tyson of issues in respect to late or incorrect payroll_
- Identify potential errors and notify HSB for error resolution_
- o Import additional Earnings and Deductions data from prepared files_
- o Identify adjustments or corrections and update the payroll system_
- _Gross to Net_
- o Process payroll & validate data_
- o Complete post payroll reconciliation reviews_
- o Run Payroll reports_
- _Year End & Miscellaneous Activities_
- o Process off cycle payroll runs_
- o Receive and enter year-end adjustments_
- o Perform sample audit pre-transmission & post transmission_
- o Manage direct deposit reversals and stop pays_
- o Calculate manual pay cards_
- Qualifications we seek in you_
- Minimum Qualifications_
- _Prior Payroll experience_
- _Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel intermediate knowledge)_
- _Experience with a multi-faceted payroll system is a requirement (i.e. ADP, Ceridian, PeopleSoft)_
- _Experience in SAP HR considered a PLUS_
- _Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Accounting/Commerce_
- Preferred Qualifications/ Skills_
- _Well versed in procedures and policies related to United States End to End Payroll & Payroll taxes including experience with Union payrolls_
- _Excellent communication skills both written and verbal_
- _Excellent analytical skills; good research and problem-solving skills_
- _Detail oriented, good organizational skills and ability to work independently and within the team environment_
- _Great understanding of both payroll paid in arrears and payroll paid current_
