Introduction:
The Analytics & Insights manager role undertakes the following key activities:

- Part of a team acting as single point of ownership on behalf of CFO/CRO of the planning & stress testing outputs
- Accountable for planning & stress testing execution framework encompassing the operating model, control framework and the execution plan
- Provide commercial insight, review and challenge into results with close proximity to Finance Business Partners and Entity CFO/Board
- Provision of guidance and targets for financial planning returns to ensure returns optimised (i.e. ROTE)
- Owners of changes to the operating model and execution artefacts
- Working with SME’s in Risk, Finance and Treasury on coordination of coherent objectives, principles, methodology and points of regulatory interpretation
- Coordination of downstream stakeholders to ensure results are interpreted and presented at appropriate forums
- Responsible for coordination of changes to the planning & stress testing framework in BAU and future capabilities

The Planning & Stress test Analytics & Insight team works closely with:

- The other Planning and Stress Testing transaction cycle teams who lead the operational delivery of the planning and stress testing process
- SME’s in Risk, Finance and Treasury on coordination of coherent objectives, principles, methodology and points of regulatory interpretation
- Model owners and first line submitters to ensure appropriate capture of model risk and provide independent challenge to their results where appropriate

What will you be doing?
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure the requirements land and activities and tasks are initially taken over and delivered, followed by building up capability to help drive the agenda
- Overseeing elements of Group and/or business aligned planning & stress testing processes and driving their delivery.
- This includes delivery of Barclays internal stress tests as well as external regulatory stress test for PRA and EBA
- Responsible for interactions across the Group with participation in working groups and execution committees
- Responsible for ensuring robust, accurate and complete submission of regulatory templates
- Acting to provide a central review and challenge capability by analysing business submissions for plausibility and commercial logic against benchmark data
- Preparation of consolidated review materials for senior management and presenting them at senior forums
- Understand the commercial drivers of the businesses and be able to articulate these to the wider team and management
- Deliver high quality MI with a challenging but positive influential style, in order to make recommendations off the back of detailed analytical work
- Be an effective team player with excellent communication skills and have a reputation for integrity, which can evoke rapid trust and confidence in clients, colleagues and their team.
- Logical and thoughtful approach to work and the ability to multi-task/work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Pays careful attention to detail, whilst also considering the big picture and wider implications.
- Identify process improvements and lead effective remediation to continually improve quality of results

What we’re looking for:

- Experience of planning & stress testing exercises, knowledge of regulatory requirements i.e. BoE Stress Testing, ICAAP requirements at another major firm
- Knowledge of key components of Capital Stress testing i.e. Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk,
