**Introduction**:
Assistant Vice President (AVP) has responsibility to effectively and efficiently lead and complete financial and risk analysis and meet the capital and regulatory reporting requirements, and to ensure best quality of output and accuracy of information. This includes delivering valuable portfolio insights to help portfolio analysts, Senior Risk Managers, Group Risk, Group Finance, Barclays Board and Regulators make informed decisions in compliance with Regulatory and Group Risk Policies.
What will you be doing?
Governance and Control for STDF Reporting (35%)
- Comply with the RIS governance framework, change management requirements and STDF process review requirements.
- Ensure reporting issues are reported and resolved on a timely basis by supporting the team both from functional and technical standpoint.
- Ensure and enhance the quality and accuracy of reporting through building various control checks and analysis.
- Ensure the submission to BoE is as per the requirement of BoE.
- Ensure stakeholders are engaged and sign-off all relevant documents.
- Support the team periodic / Ad hoc system changes and UAT.
- Own operation of controls and ensure that the controls are operating effectively at all time.
- Ensure that every documents are kept up-to-date and audit ready.

Co-ordination between various Teams (30%)
- Work closely with Portfolio Risk Reporting, IT tech teams and other stakeholders to understand the risk reporting requirements, taking into consideration existing data limitations and constraints.
- Work efficiently to manage BoE queries in stipulated timeline.
- Co-ordination with Technical team for smooth conduct of STDF Submission.

Improving Internal Processes (20%)
- Lead Initiatives to improve and automate processes to minimize errors and reduce effort
- Ideate, formulate, socialise and deliver process improvements and efficiencies that align to strategic goals and regulatory environment.
Team Management (15%)
- Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Planning, setting up clear team goals and delegating tasks.
- Monitor team performance to ensure objectives are met.
- Supporting team members with training and development activities.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Masters in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Operational research field, Engineering, Masters in Business Administration, Chartered Accountants.
- Good overall knowledge of the Bank’s processes, together with a comprehensive understanding of the Capital and Risk Management
- Extensive knowledge of SQL, Advanced SAS, Python
- Database - SAS, SQL
- Proficient with IT and PC systems - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access
- Financial/Statistical/Budgetary MI Production experience including specific use of appropriate software, e.g. Excel. Access, SQL, Visual Basic, Advance SAS

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Knowledge of Credit risk STDF Templates as requested by BoE.
- Exposure to business analysis, investigating issues will be advantageous.
- An awareness of the theoretical and practical side of risk management.
- Team Management Experience preferred.
