- Our Client is currently looking for a Research Associate/Scientist to work in the field of Material Science. In this role you will:

- Analyze the structures and chemical properties of existing materials to strengthen and/or combine them, and to develop novel formulations of compounds, and additives.
- Refinement and optimization of biopolymers/biomaterials for its strength and appearance.
- Develop technology in the area of post-processing of biomaterial.
- Execute key chemistry and materials science experiments at the bench level.
- Maintain high-quality documentation of scientific output and research in the forms of written reports, internal databases, etc.
- Actively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including other biologists, engineers, and designers, across scientific and design pursuits.
- Communicate ideas, work, and progress clearly, including by engaging in team meetings, presentations, and other creative communication outlets.
- Should have knowledge of material science fundamentals and diverse biopolymer matrix.
- Work collaboratively with the team to design and operational specifications for all equipment and steps of the process.
- Prepare and execute established methods and SOPs.
- Deliver high-quality results in a timely manner and communicate the same with stakeholders.
- Maintain all equipment, data and records as per specifications
- **What we are looking for**:

- M.Sc. / M. Tech. / Ph.D. in material science, têxtile engineering, têxtile science, leather technology, polymer chemistry, organic chemistry or materials science or related field.
- 3-5 years of research experience in academic or industry settings working on bio-fabrication.
- Should have prior exposure to post-processing of biomaterial.
- Strong knowledge of the structure-function relationships, performance, and interactions of various biopolymer ingredients.
- Ability to interpret test results and turn them into next steps.
- Demonstrated ability to work with highly skilled teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and technical environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical information in a clear and thorough manner.
- Comfortable delivering against challenging commitments.
- Confident, execution focused, team oriented, with an ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- A desire to work in the impact space, with a passion to make the world a "better" place
