**Job Title**: IBDP English Teacher
**Location**: Bangalore, India

**Job Type**: Full-Time

**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Deliver high-quality instruction in English Language and Literature, following the IBDP curriculum for both Standard and Higher Levels (SL and HL).
- Develop engaging lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and needs, while adhering to IBDP guidelines.
- Facilitate discussions, debates, and group activities to encourage analytical thinking, interpretation, and creative expression.
- Provide constructive feedback and ongoing support to students in their assignments, essays, and projects.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments in line with IBDP standards and report student progress to parents and the school community.
- Mentor students in the preparation of their Extended Essay (EE) and Theory of Knowledge (TOK) assessments, as required.
- Use innovative and technology-enhanced teaching methods to engage students and enhance their learning experience.
- Support and contribute to the development of the school's English department through collaboration and sharing best practices with colleagues.
- Actively participate in school meetings, professional development programs, and other extracurricular activities.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels supported and challenged to achieve their best.

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- A valid teaching qualification (B.Ed., M.Ed., or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience in the IBDP English program or equivalent international curriculum.
- In-depth knowledge of IBDP English Language and Literature, as well as the ability to integrate the program's philosophy and assessment structure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire students and foster a positive classroom culture.
- Ability to create differentiated instruction for students with varying abilities and needs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in using digital tools and platforms to support teaching and learning.

**Desired Skills**:

- Previous experience in teaching English at the IBDP level, especially in both Language and Literature.
- Understanding of the IBDP assessment philosophy, including internal assessments and the Extended Essay.
- Experience in preparing students for IBDP exams and facilitating TOK or CAS.
- Enthusiasm for continuing professional development and keeping up with the latest trends in education.
