Portfolio Analytics Associate

As the Portfolio Analytics professional in our Investment and Research Team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm

Job responsibilities
- Understand and enhance proprietary risk models/frameworks, analytical tools for portfolio and risk management.
- Quantitative and Statistical research on portfolio management and analytical products/tools/models.
- As an SME respond to ad hoc queries related to model output, methodology and how to use the model.
- Provide support to Portfolio Management, Portfolio Governance, Risk Management teams within the Wealth Management Solutions business.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, understand multiple priorities in a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with technology team and navigate strategic projects towards deployment.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5-8 years of experience in analytics or data insights-related role, Investment and/or risk management experience.
- A good understanding of financial markets and products and historical macro-economic events.
- Intermediate to Advance programming skills in Python or R and BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau or Qlik
- Broad capital markets experience across asset classes (equity, fixed income, alternative assets) and risk profiles (conservative, aggressive, balanced)
- Analytical experience, with a focus on statistical analysis, financial modelling or other investment related analysis, and strong proficiency in Microsoft office
- Broad knowledge of various data vendors, including MSCI, Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar etc.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- CFA/ FRM or MBA Finance preferred
- Experience navigating and interpreting quantitative research documentation and understanding of fund strategies / structures.
- Business Intelligence experience which could prepared leveraging MS Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, Qlik Sense etc.
