**Roles & Responsibilities**:

- Provide Architectural leadership and vision for Xactly’s Data Platform and Data Lake
- Provide expertise on the overall data ecosystem engineering best practices, standards, architectural approaches and complex technical resolutions
- Contribute to the data platform strategies and roadmap development to meet business objectives with existing or emerging technologies. Ability to translate business concepts to technical terms. Understands and communicates company goals and objectives.
- Work with engineering teams across the technology organization, deliver the strategy through clear leadership/direction, influence and integration with agile development processes
- Articulate technology solutions as well as explain the competitive advantages of various technology alternatives.
- Collaborate with the key stakeholders, other product development groups and software vendors to identify and define solutions for complex business and technical requirements.
- Provide mentorship and help team growth especially on the technical side.

**Required Skills**:

- Deep knowledge and hands on experience on big data and cloud computing technologies including Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, etc.
- Deep experience in SQL/NoSQL technology. Familiar with Databases like Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, etc.
- Expertise in streaming using Kafka/Pulsar and batch data processing
- Expertise in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, ETL processing, metadata management, reference data management and Data Governance
- Strong skills on mentoring/growing junior people.

**Highly Desired Experience**:

- Prior experience working with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake
- Well versed with Data visualization/BI tools
- Experience working within a distributed engineering team including offshore
- Bonus points if you have contributed to an open source project
- Proven track record of identifying and championing new technologies that enhance the end-user experience, software quality, and developer productivity
- Past experience working in a fast paced environment.

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

- Gain exposure to Xactly’s entire product suite
- Discussing and building out Incent product roadmap
- Prioritize team’s roadmap by partnering with other stakeholders
- Work with recruitment on hiring for your team
- Participate and lead scrum meetings

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL:

- Train and integrate your team into Xactly and dev processes
- Ensure the best dev practices are being used
- Ensure that we are releasing high quality product
- Participate and contribute in maintenance and new product development

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL:

- Be an expert on Xactly Incent product
- Partner and work cross functionally with other dev teams and the QE team
- Take full ownership of features and processes of the product
- Continuously coach and mentor your team to achieve their career goals
- Continuously think about and work on process improvements for an always high-quality product
