Job Title: Service Advisor - Automobile // for Dalhousie Location

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers in a courteous and professional manner, and promptly assist them with their vehicle service needs.
- Listen attentively to customers' concerns and inquiries regarding their vehicles, and ask relevant questions to accurately assess the issues.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, utilizing appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment, to identify and diagnose problems accurately.
- Provide clear and detailed explanations to customers regarding necessary repairs, recommended maintenance services, and associated costs.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and repair orders, ensuring transparency and adherence to pricing policies.
- Coordinate with the service team, including technicians and parts personnel, to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of services.
- Maintain regular communication with customers throughout the service process, providing updates on the status of their vehicles and addressing any concerns.
- Up-sell additional services or preventive maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations and customer vehicle history.
- Ensure all service records, documentation, and customer information are accurately recorded and entered into the system.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and disputes with professionalism and strive to resolve any issues to the customer's satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure availability of required parts and accessories for scheduled services and repairs.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies, service procedures, and industry trends through continuous learning and training.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repairs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with automotive software and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make accurate assessments and recommendations.
- Strong sales and negotiation skills to promote additional services and upgrades.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
