1. MS SQL Server Administration experience required.
2. Installation, implementation, configuration and maintenance of SQL Server instances and databases.
3. Database migrations, upgrades and patching.
4. Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
5. Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
6. Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
7. Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
8. Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
9. Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
10. Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
11. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
12. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
13. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
14. Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
15. Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
16. Flexible, team player, "get-it-done" personality
17. Ability to organize and plan work independently
18. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment
19. Ability to multi-task and context-switch effectively between different activities and teams
