**About the Business / Function**:

1. This includes creating primary database storage structures, designing and creating primary objects, modifying database structure as necessary for enhancements or performance, creating documentation, designing interfaces, and database objects, and creating plans.

2. Monitor and optimize the performance of the database, plan for backup and recovery of the database, allocate system storage and plan future storage needs.

3. Create database-related scripts and programs to support development and production environments.

4. Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan the implementation of new or improved RDBMS, ETL and database tools. Risk management and mitigation.

5. Close cooperation with the key security service providers: vendor support teams, security operation centers, and external security consultants to achieve CIA on all fronts.

6. Prompt response to ad-hoc security queries from internal customers. Incident response and training.

7. Security audits. Assessment and approval of requests for change, privileged access provision requests and other requests.

**TO SUCCEED IN THE ROLE, YOU SHOULD HAVE**
- At least 3 years of experience supporting relational databases as a DBA, with multiple distributed relational DBSM*s or a depth and focus in Oracle and related tools.
- Exposure and practice in using the DBMS to optimize the performance of large databases for enterprise use are preferred.
- Backup and restoration, Basic optimizations, Knowledge of normalization, Knowledge of SQL, How to read a query plan, Linux Operating Systems.
- Stored procedures and triggering.
- Good understanding of migrating Oracle database to Oracle cloud.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with common cybersecurity products.
