Position Title: Forklift Operator cum Trainer

Location: Chennai

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Forklift Operations:

- Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-operation checks and inspections to ensure forklifts are in good working condition.
- Assist in the organization and storage of goods and materials within the warehouse.
- Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and operational procedures during forklift operations.

2. Training Delivery:

- Conduct classroom and hands-on training sessions for forklift operation, including safety practices, operational techniques, and maintenance procedures.
- Create training materials such as manuals, presentations, and assessment tools for trainee learning.
- Assess trainee performance through evaluations, practical tests, and observations.
- Ensure that trainees understand and adhere to forklift operation protocols, safety standards, and maintenance practices.

3. Equipment Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on forklifts as necessary to ensure optimal functionality.
- Report mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance department promptly.

4. Safety and Compliance:

- Promote a safety-first culture, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed during both operations and training.
- Stay updated on industry safety standards, forklift regulations, and training best practices.
- Ensure compliance with local and industry regulations regarding forklift operations.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate records of all training sessions, including attendance, evaluations, and trainee performance.
- Prepare and submit operational reports, maintenance logs, and training progress updates to supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of forklift operating experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
- Training Experience: Previous experience in delivering forklift training or skill development programs is highly preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification in forklift operation or safety training is an advantage).
- Certification: Valid Forklift Operator certification and relevant industry certifications are required.
- Skills:

- Proficient in forklift operation and warehouse logistics.
- Strong communication and instructional skills, with the ability to train and mentor others.
- Commitment to safety and a strong understanding of safety regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on forklifts.

- Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
