JD for Purchase Mechanical
- Analyze technical data and specifications to determine the equipment needed for projects/supplies
- Evaluate suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreements for various items, equipments, stores
- Devise, implement and oversee procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets
- Administer supplier and vendor contracts & Inventory management
- Ensure that purchases comply with commercial, legal and contractual obligations
- Communicate with stakeholders regarding the nature and function of purchased equipment
- Ensures that re-ordering of stock is carried out as required to maintain adequate stock levels of parts for execution.
- Participates in the creation of forecasts, and related to project orders & stock required for the project orders in pipe line
- Represents purchasing in discussions and strategies aimed at improving overall integration of purchasing, stock, and accounts payable.
- Managing the shipping, handling and storage requirements on components to ensure high quality items are received and issued
- Standardizing and managing the evaluation of replacement items for obsolete parts and component acceptability.
- Supplier Management and Vendor Sourcing/development for machined components and Analysis
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- Arrange for disposal of surplus materials.
- Conduct Audits within department as directed from time to time
