**Job Title**: STP Plant Operator

**Location**: Indore

**Reports To**: [Supervisor/Manager]

**Job Summary**:
The STP Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining sewage treatment equipment and systems to ensure the effective and efficient treatment of wastewater. This role involves monitoring plant processes, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Operation of Plant Equipment**:

- Operate and monitor sewage treatment machinery, including pumps, filters, and aeration systems.
- Adjust controls and valves to regulate flow rates and chemical dosages.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is functioning correctly.

2. **Monitoring and Testing**:

- Collect and test water samples to measure various parameters such as pH, BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand), and TSS (Total Suspended Solids).
- Record and analyze test results to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

3. **Maintenance and Repairs**:

- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

4. **Compliance and Reporting**:

- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of plant operations, maintenance activities, and test results.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies and management.

5. **Safety and Emergency Response**:

- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Respond to and manage emergencies such as equipment failures or spills.

6. **Coordination and Communication**:

- Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and report any issues or concerns.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in wastewater treatment preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a similar role or environment is advantageous.
- **Skills**:
Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes and equipment.

Ability to perform routine maintenance and repairs.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and record-keeping abilities.

Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.

**Working Conditions**:

- Rotational Shift
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including outdoors and in confined spaces.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, and handling equipment.

Schedule:

- Morning shift
- Rotational shift
