**Location**: Nungambakkam, Chennai - Art Houz Gallery

**Office Hours**: 10 AM - 6 PM

Art Houz Gallery, a leading name in the contemporary art scene in Chennai, is looking for a skilled **Sub-Editor** to enhance our editorial team. As we continue to expand our magazine publications, we need a creative individual to conceptualize and arrange content that aligns with unique thematic issues, reflecting the essence of contemporary art and culture.

**Position Overview**:
As a Sub-Editor, your role will involve not only editing and proofreading content but also **conceptualizing magazine themes** and arranging articles to ensure a cohesive and engaging narrative. You will collaborate closely with writers, designers, and curators to ensure that all content is well-structured and connects seamlessly with the magazine’s overarching themes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Proofread and edit articles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with the Art Houz voice.
- **Conceptualize and develop thematic ideas** for magazine issues, working closely with the editorial and creative teams.
- Organize and arrange content to create a natural flow and strong connection to the chosen theme of each magazine issue.
- Collaborate with artists, curators, and writers to ensure the content is engaging and relevant to the magazine’s audience.
- Fact-check information and verify sources to ensure credibility and accuracy.
- Work with the design team to ensure that the magazine’s visual layout complements the written content.
- Ensure all content is delivered on time and adheres to the highest editorial standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, English, Journalism, or Communications.
- Proven experience in sub-editing, proofreading, or content curation.
- Strong ability to **conceptualize and arrange thematic content** for magazines.
- Excellent grammar, editing, and writing skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Passion for contemporary art and cultural storytelling.
- Familiarity with editorial and digital publishing tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
