- Specific Exposure :Fertilizers, Specifically - Ammonia / Urea Plants / GT Power Plant**Job Description / Responsibilities**
- 1. Work experience in continuously operating Ammonia / Urea fertilizer plants.
- 2. Will lead, develop and be responsible for Mechanical Maintenance Department. Will be leading Mechanical Section Heads, Mechanical Engineers, Technicians, Contract Workmen and will be reporting to HOD Maintenance.
- 3. Post qualification and relevant experience in operation and maintenance of Gas Turbine Generators, Steam Turbines, and Compressors etc. and their respective control systems.
- 4. Hands on Experience in maintaining Urea Plant HP loop equipment, Conveyors, Packed Columns, distillation towers etc.
- 5. Hands on Experience of high alloy, special alloy steel piping and equipment used in modern fertilizer industry.
- 6. Knowledge in scheduling routine and shutdown maintenance jobs like overhauling of rotary equipment, Inspection of Static equipment like reactors, Heat exchangers, reformers, storage tanks and HP vessels etc.
- 7. Knowledge in corrective maintenance jobs based on condition monitoring information and NDT techniques like vibration analysis, Monitoring abnormalities (noise, temperatures), thickness measurements of all pipelines etc.
- 8. Planning of Turnaround of units for all Static and major rotary equipment which include tools and tackles requirement, spare parts requirement, and maintenance procedures to be adapted.
- 9. Should have logical and analytical thinking capability for identifying the root cause for failure of equipment and implementing corrective actions to avoid repetitive failures.
- 10. Studying and implementation of modifications needed for Safety and Reliability.
- 11. Identifying possible hazards well in advance and guiding / planning for safe execution of the critical jobs.
- 12. Budget and Spares management.
- 13. Conversant with handling of Heavy Equipment
- 14. Conversant with Modern Codes and Standards.
- 15. Liaison with Statutory / Government Agencies like IBR.
- 16. Usage of SAP for procurement of spares & for plant maintenance.
- 17. Handling Maintenance Contracts and Contract Workmen pertaining to the Department.
- 18. Working to ISO 9001 series of Quality Management, EMS 14001, OHSAS 18001, Process Safety Management System (PSMS) & RC-14001 standards.
- 19. Training of subordinates and intradepartmental personnel through classroom sessions.
- 20. Ensuring adequate & competitive staffing in Mechanical Maintenance Department & Succession Planning.
