The Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for supporting production by troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing equipment downtime to ensure maximum output. Additionally, they supervise line sustainment activities and guide Maintenance Technicians.

This position is part of the Engineering Function and will be located in Bengaluru_. _At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to monitor equipment status and performance
- you will assess the equipment’s performance and repair history and work with Technicians to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades as appropriate
- Writing maintenance procedures, reports & routing them in PLM system
- Manage the stock of spare parts of the instruments/equipment
- Assign shift activities to technicians & training techs

**The essential requirements of the job include**:

- BE/BTech in Electrical/Mechanical engineering
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in Medical Device/IVD or related industry
- Should have hands on experience related to Automation Mfg. equipment
- Experience from working in regulated work environment (CDSCO, GMP, ISO 13485)
- Experience from working in a global environment

**Physical/Environment Requirements**:

- Ability to work in manufacturing environment
- Must be flexible to work off-shifts and weekends as per production schedule.
- Ability to lift upto 25 pounds
- Frequent kneeling and bending

**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in**:

- experience in managing a team.
- experience in working in a lean manufacturing environment.
- leading the Mfg. line maintenance activities, kaizen, continuous improvement.
