Electrical maintenance supervisor

As an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, you would be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the electrical maintenance activities within a facility, plant, or organization. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment. Here are the key responsibilities typically associated with this position:
**Team Leadership and Supervision**: Manage and lead a team of electrical maintenance technicians. Provide guidance, support, and training to ensure the team's efficiency and productivity.

**Maintenance Planning and Scheduling**: Develop and implement a comprehensive electrical maintenance plan. Schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

**Electrical System Inspections**: Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components. Identify potential issues, malfunctions, or safety hazards and prioritize repairs accordingly.

**Troubleshooting and Problem Solving**: Assist maintenance technicians in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems. Provide technical expertise to resolve complex electrical issues effectively.

**Equipment Repairs and Maintenance**: Oversee and participate in the repair, maintenance, and calibration of electrical equipment such as motors, generators, control panels, transformers, and distribution systems.

**Safety Compliance**: Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and best practices. Promote and enforce safe work practices to prevent accidents and injuries.

**Budget Management**: Manage the electrical maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining quality and safety standards.

**Spare Parts and Inventory Management**: Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to maintain an adequate supply of electrical spare parts and components.

**Electrical Projects**: Participate in electrical projects, upgrades, and installations. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure proper electrical design and integration.

**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment history, and electrical system performance. Generate reports on maintenance activities and equipment performance for management review.

**Training and Development**: Identify training needs for the electrical maintenance team and organize skill development programs to enhance technical expertise.

**Energy Efficiency**: Implement energy-saving measures and promote energy efficiency initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.

**Emergency Response**: Respond to electrical emergencies and breakdowns promptly. Coordinate with other departments to address critical electrical failures.

**Regulatory Compliance**: Stay updated with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards. Ensure that electrical systems and equipment meet all compliance requirements.

**Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in electrical maintenance practices

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹36,674.41 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bangalore, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Commercial electrician: 3 years (preferred)
