**Roles and Responsibilities**

**Qualification & Experience**:
Masters in statistics
- Preferably with added specialization in development economics, public health population studies or any other relevant field with strong background in research methods.
- PhD in any of above/relevant fields will be preferred.
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience, showing at least 2 years involvement with health/social data and working on large datasets
- Knowledge of scientific approach and methodologies.principles, concepts, methods, and standards of statistical research.- Ability to consult with scientific investigators, interpret research requirements, and determine statistical analysis strategies.
- Ability to plan, create, program and manage complex statistical computer databases.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and draw conclusions from complex statistical information.- Knowledge of writing quality research papers, concept notes, terms of reference protocols, inception and final reports.
- Proficient computer literacy, specifically advanced Excel and Word and Statistical Softwares (SPSS /STATA/R )."Designs, analyze, implement, and report findings on targeted statistical research studie;
- Provide consultation to investigators and researchers on experimental design and statistical research approaches, requirements, and scientific standards to advance medical knowledge and improve research in public health.
- Works with investigators to formalize analysis plans and reporting specifications; advises as to choice of statistical analysis strategies, reliability of measurements and identifiability of models, and interpretation and presentation of statistical results..
- Contribute to producing high quality and varied research outputs for a range of audiences including analysis, report and presentations
- Promote culture of quality research at NHA
- Support and assist in any other activities work assigned by the leadership."
