**Job Title: Safety Officer - Civil Construction**

The Safety Officer (Civil) is responsible for ensuring that all construction site operations comply with health and safety regulations. They play a key role in monitoring site activities, enforcing safety protocols, and fostering a safety-first culture among site workers and subcontractors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Monitor day-to-day civil construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) for all workers on-site.
- Prepare and implement site-specific safety plans in coordination with project management.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training for all site personnel.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases; maintain records and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure emergency procedures are clearly communicated.
- Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and contractors to ensure safe work practices.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company HSE policies.
- Maintain safety documentation including permits, MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets), and inspection records.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety.
- Certification in safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in safety supervision within civil construction projects (e.g., roads, buildings, bridges, infrastructure).
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and site practices.
- Ability to identify potential hazards and implement effective control measures.
- Good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with scaffolding, excavation, working at heights, concreting safety, and confined space entry.
- Experience in preparing JSA (Job Safety Analysis), HIRA (Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment).
- Capable of handling safety audits and coordination with consultants or client safety teams.

Pay: ₹10,466.93 - ₹25,937.01 per month
